Growth environment requirements of King Oyster Mushroom
1. Moisture requirements
King oyster mushrooms are relatively drought-tolerant mushrooms. During the mycelium growth stage, as long as the water content in the culture material reaches 60%~65% and the relative humidity reaches about 60%, the growth needs of the mycelium can be met. During the fruiting body formation and development stage, as long as the relative humidity reaches 85% to 90%, the fruiting body can grow well. 2. Nutritional needs
Pleurotus eryngii has high demand for nitrogen and carbon sources. Especially when the nitrogen source is sufficient, the yield of the mushroom is very high. Therefore, a certain amount of corn flour, cottonseed hulls and other raw materials for nitrogen production should be added to the planting materials. If wheat straw is used as the main raw material, about 10% cottonseed powder should be added to increase its "activity". 3. Temperature requirements
The suitable temperature for the growth of Pleurotus eryngii mycelium is 25℃; the temperature required for the formation of fruiting bodies is 10~15℃; the temperature required for fruiting body development will vary depending on the strain, generally between 10~17℃. 4. Light requirements
Dark light can be used during the mycelium formation stage, while diffuse light is required during the fruiting body formation and development stage. 5. Air demand
Although fresh air is important for the entire growth period of Pleurotus eryngii, during the mycelial growth stage, the carbon dioxide discharged from the mushroom bag can significantly stimulate mycelial growth. However, the carbon dioxide content in the air cannot be too high during the formation stage of the fruiting body primordia. 6. PH value requirements
The pH value required during the mycelium growth stage is between 6.5 and 7.5; the pH value during fruiting should be between 5.5 and 6.5.
