4 issues you need to pay attention to when cultivating shiitake mushrooms

Daily nitrogen sources such as amino acids and other small molecule nutrients can be directly absorbed by shiitake mushrooms. For some macromolecular proteins, further precipitation and degradation are required. In fact, during the cultivation of shiitake mushrooms, some vitamins also need to be supplemented.
In the initial stage of growth of shiitake mushroom mycelium, mineral supplementation is often the top priority. In particular, the supplementation of phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium must be paid attention to. Otherwise, in the initial stage of growth of shiitake mushrooms, nutritional supplements will not be available, resulting in reduced production.

1. Temperature
It is important to understand the temperature at which mushrooms grow and develop. According to relevant scientific research, it is best to control the growth temperature of shiitake mushrooms at 15~18°C, and if the temperature difference between day and night is controlled within 10°C, the mushroom emergence rate will be the highest and the quality will be significantly improved.
2. Humidity
During the formation of the fruiting bodies of shiitake mushrooms, it is best to keep the humidity in the air at 85%. If it is higher than 90%, it will easily cause the mushrooms to rot and deteriorate, and it is easy to breed bacteria, causing them to develop diseases.
3. Ventilation
Shiitake mushrooms are aerobic edible fungi. During the growth and development of shiitake mushrooms, if the ventilation is not good, the carbon dioxide content in the environment will increase, which will inhibit the development of shiitake mushrooms. In more serious cases, it will cause the mycelium to age rapidly, and the mushrooms produced will be deformed. Therefore, proper ventilation is one of the necessary conditions for the growth and development of shiitake mushrooms.
4. Lighting
Light is not required in the initial stages of mushroom cultivation, and strong light will also affect the growth of mycelium. When the mushrooms grow to the fruiting body stage, the mushrooms need scattered light to promote the normal growth and development of the mushrooms. If there is insufficient light, the mushrooms will produce less fruit and be of poor quality. If the light is too strong, it will cause a large amount of water loss in the mushroom wood. The best way is to keep the shading degree of mushrooms at about 60%.
