What Is The Main Reason For Shiitake Mushrooms Sticks To Rot?

1. The proportion of the base material for mushroom cultivation is very important. Each raw material must be mixed strictly in a reasonable and scientific proportion to correct the wrong idea of "the more the better". For some trace elements, we try to follow the principle of "less is better than more" in mastering the scale. If a certain raw material exceeds the upper limit, it may cause the opposite effect. For example, adding lime, superphosphate, gypsum, urea and other raw materials to tender may cause stick rot. In addition, excessive moisture, uneven mixing of raw materials, or high-temperature sterilization and disinfection of raw materials after mixing in a short time, making the base material acidic, and changes in pH value will also cause stick rot.
2. In the process of cultivating bacteria, the cultivation site is poorly ventilated for a long time, resulting in insufficient oxygen in the site, excessive carbon dioxide content, weakened mycelium activity, and the phenomenon of returning to bacteria and retreating bacteria. The mycelium development is inhibited and the phenomenon of stick rot will also occur.
3. During the mycelium development stage, due to the continuous high temperature of the site, especially when the pile temperature rises suddenly during the puncture and release of air, the "burning bacteria" phenomenon occurs, causing the mycelium to shrink or even die.
4. The shading of the mushroom cultivation site is not proper, the mushroom bags are directly exposed to the sun, and the ultraviolet rays burn the mycelium in the mushroom sticks, causing local yellow or red water to flow, causing ulceration and infection.
5. The water replenishment of the mushroom stick exceeds the standard, or the water temperature added to the mushroom stick is too high. If it happens to be hot and humid weather, it is easy to cause stick rot if it is not handled in time during management. In addition, the mushroom sticks cannot effectively produce mushrooms after replenishing water, resulting in the inability to take out the water in the mushroom sticks with the mushrooms, which is also the cause of the rotten sticks.
6. The mushroom roots are not cleaned in time during mushroom picking, or due to incorrect mushroom picking techniques, large pieces of mushroom materials are taken out, causing the mushroom sticks to be injured. After spraying water, it is easy to cause harmful molds to grow, causing the mushroom sticks to rot and loosen.
