Oyster mushrooms appear deformed, to be analyzed from these aspects

There are many reasons for the deformed growth of the mushroom, which are complicated and simple. The simple one is the environment, that is, the environmental conditions are not up to what the mushroom needs to grow, and can be solved by adjusting the environmental conditions. As an ordinary grower, it is better to start the analysis from the simple environment.

I. Environmental factors

As far as we know, changes in these four factors can cause the mushroom to grow abnormally.

① Temperature. Whether it is a low temperature or high temperature variety of mushroom, there is a limit value for the adaptation to temperature, once it exceeds this extreme value, the mushroom cannot grow healthily and normally, the highest temperature limit of mushroom is 30℃, beyond this 30℃, the mushroom substrate will have long stalk, large or small cap but very thin, the edge of the cap will be cracked, and it may also curl down or up, forming a deformed mushroom.

② Humidity. The humidity of culture material and space humidity are too small, both will cause the oyster mushroom cot entity to shrink and even die due to lack of water. If the humidity is too high and at 95% for a long time, besides easily infected with miscellaneous bacteria, many tiny buds will appear on the mushroom cap, lumpy and unattractive, which also grows into deformed mushrooms.

③ Oxygen. Oyster mushroom growing place, or shed or room, mostly in closed place, if ventilation is insufficient, it will cause less oxygen and higher concentration of carbon dioxide, in such environment, the breathing of oyster mushroom substrates will be inhibited, and the development must be poor with poor breathing, which will also cause oyster mushroom growing deformed.

④ Light. The mushroom emergence period of flat mushroom needs sunlight, suitable diffuse light will promote the healthy growth of oyster mushroom, if there is not enough light, it will have long or twisted stalk and thin flesh, etc.

If the spherical mushroom is formed by the above reasons, it will return to normal soon if the temperature humidity light and oxygen are adjusted to normal, if not, please compare with the following two statements.

II. Genetic factor

The genetic factor is the degradation or mutation of the strain or poor preservation environment, which makes the oyster mushroom grow into spherical shape. If this is the reason, you have to give up this planting and start again. Or barely harvest the spherical flat mushroom, but the quality must be bad, and the economic value certainly cannot be realized.

III. Virus factor

There is a physiological disease in edible mushroom, caused by spherical virus, and the specific performance of flat mushroom cotyledons is spherical, but this disease is currently said differently and is more controversial. The reason is that the spherical virus is not detected in many spherical mushrooms. If the spherical growth is completed by this cause, it is only possible to terminate this planting because the virus replicates from the cells and there is no solution at present.

Therefore, it is recommended to adjust the growth environment of the oyster mushroom first, and after a period of observation, if the spherical mushroom improves and gradually tends to be normal, continue and adjust the environmental factors. If it still does not recover, terminate this planting immediately and prepare to start again.
